HOW TO AVOID E-LIQUID RISING IN THE MOUTH?
Many vapers have already been confronted with rising liquids, especially at the beginning of their journey. There is nothing worse than a few drops of liquid for electronic cigarettes in the mouth, especially when it is nicotine. You take a puff of your favourite recipe and that’s the drama! The liquid rises through the chimney to the drip tip and floods your taste buds. It’s strong, it stings, and we would gladly do without this little annoyance. So if you are looking for a solution to counter the phenomenon, you have come to the right place! In this guide, we have listed all the tips for dealing with liquid rising in the mouth.
VAPE AT THE RIGHT POWER
Often, when the liquids go up in the chimney, it is because the power sent is not adapted to what the resistance can receive. If the power is too low, the resistance cannot vaporize the liquid, so instead of sucking in the vapour you directly suck the liquid from your clearomiser. Do not hesitate to increase the watts, while remaining within the recommended power range, to find a dense and tasty vape.
REGULARLY CLEAN YOUR CHIMNEY
Cleaning your electronic cigarette is important. Indeed, it is about its proper functioning. Sometimes the central chimney of your clearomiser becomes clogged, either through repeated use or because you accidentally poured a few drops into it during filling. In this case, do not hesitate to take a small piece of absorbent paper that you will take care to fold so that it can enter the conduit. Also be sure to clean the top cap, the base and the drip tip. With the vape, another problem arises, that condensation. The hot vapour meets the cold metal of the clearomiser which can cause some leaks. Again, use a paper towel to remove any droplets.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE ABANDONED!
Haven’t used your vape for a long time? This has happened to all of us! A new electronic cigarette pleases us and we abandon the old one! However, do not forget to empty the clearomiser, remove the resistance and clean the entire tank before putting your electronic cigarette in the closet. Otherwise, the resistance which is permanently bathed in the e-liquid saturates is no longer able to absorb properly. As soon as you turn it back on to vape, the liquid does not vaporize and rises through the drip tip to the mouth.
If despite all our advice, the liquid of your electronic cigarette still goes up then think about changing your resistance. The resistance may be too worn, do not forget its lifespan is about 2 weeks and depending on the juice used, the coil can clog up more quickly. It can also be a manufacturing defect of the resistance, the change of the coil is then necessary. Fortunately, most manufacturers provide spare coils that you can find in the box of your electronic cigarette.
If you follow our advice and favour a slower and smoother draw, the problem of liquid rising should be fixed.
